Debone Technician - Day Shift

Role Summary

The Debone Technician will be skilled and versatile across all deboning production tasks, working on a rotation basis. This role involves active participation within the team to support company operations and maintain high standards across all processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute all deboning line positions, rotating among duties such as breast and wing cutting, skin removal, saw operation, product loading, and tray packing.
• Engage actively as a collaborative team member to promote communication, adherence to team policies, and ensure alignment on organizational objectives including annual plans and budget considerations.
• Identify and promptly address any teamwork cohesiveness issues by liaising with the team leader and actively seeking solutions to foster synergy within the organization.
• Maintain compliance and understanding of Simmons’ operational systems such as quality control, security protocols, workplace environment standards, policies, and LEAN practices.
• Perform any additional responsibilities required to support broader business goals, with flexibility and creativity in task execution.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Work in a cold environment with temperatures down to 40°F.
• Stand and move continuously for 8 to 10 hours daily.
• Perform physical activities including reaching, bending, twisting, fine motor tasks, and lifting as required.

Safety Equipment

Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory, including waterproof shoes, gloves, aprons, hearing protection, hair nets, and any other safety gear as necessary.
