About the Role
Join TiDB, powered by PingCAP, as we expand our global footprint in the rapidly growing database market. TiDB provides an innovative enterprise database solution tailored for the AI era, addressing critical challenges related to cost, scalability, downtime, and system complexity. As a Database Technical Account Manager based in Singapore, you will be instrumental in ensuring our customers achieve success with TiDB’s database and Database-as-a-Service offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted technical advisor and primary point of contact for designated clients.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders by gaining a deep understanding of their technical architectures, business goals, and challenges.
- Offer expert technical guidance, best practices, and tailored solution recommendations to help clients fully leverage TiDB products and services.
- Work collaboratively with sales, service, and solutions architecture teams to promote customer satisfaction, growth, and successful outcomes.
- Identify improvement opportunities proactively, including cost optimization and performance enhancements within customer environments.
- Serve as an escalation contact for technical issues, coordinating with internal teams to resolve problems promptly.
- Conduct training sessions, workshops, and presentations for customers and internal teams to bolster understanding and adoption of TiDB solutions.
- Stay informed about TiDB’s product developments, future plans, features, and prevailing industry trends.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience in technical account management, customer success, or consulting roles.
- Strong knowledge of databases and distributed system technologies.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Proven skills in managing complex technical projects and balancing multiple priorities effectively.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
- Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PingCAP Certified TiDB Professional (PCTP), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
- Experience collaborating with enterprise-level customers and managing diverse stakeholder relationships.
