Acts Biotech is a rapidly expanding US-based organization specializing in Food Safety Testing, Consulting, Laboratory Services, Training, and Audit Management. We serve a wide range of clients including food manufacturers, exporters, importers, retailers, restaurants, laboratories, and agricultural enterprises throughout the United States.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Database Developer to design and construct the database system that manages data related to multiple ISO standards. This role involves transforming business requirements into a robust, secure, and maintainable database infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements to determine necessary data entities, relationships, and workflows supported by the database.
- Design database schema elements such as tables, keys, relationships, indexes, and constraints.
- Develop database scripts, migrations, and thoroughly document schema design.
- Create queries, views, stored procedures, and functions where needed.
- Plan database support for various users including auditors, audits, evidence, findings, corrective actions, and revision tracking.
- Advise on representing application roles and permissions within the database design.
- Ensure planning around backup, recovery, performance optimization, and data integrity.
- Collaborate with team members to clarify requirements and review design prior to implementation.
Candidate Qualifications
- Between 3 to 6 years of professional experience in database development.
- Strong proficiency with one or more relational database management systems like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Solid grasp of relational data modeling concepts, including normalization, indexing strategies, transaction management, and access control mechanisms.
- Demonstrated ability to compose clear SQL queries and maintain comprehensive database documentation.
- Experience in interpreting business requirements and articulating technical decisions effectively.
Preferred Skill Sets
- Experience working with audit, compliance, quality management, or document management systems.
- Knowledge of database security practices, backup, and recovery processes.
- Prior involvement in supporting web application teams or delivering database designs to application developers.
Additional Information
This position specifically focuses on database design and implementation. The candidate is expected to develop a database that allows future applications to implement separate access controls for users and auditors, but will not be responsible for user interface or complete application workflow construction.

Compensation
Salary range offered is 250000 to 500000 INR per annum.
