This Data Scientist role is based in Letterkenny, Ireland, with a hybrid working model requiring approximately three days per week onsite. It is a permanent, full-time position focused on applying advanced analytics and data science to enhance marketing and distribution strategies across Financial Services sectors like Asset Management, Life Insurance, and Retirement.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate across various internal teams to transform ideas into actionable strategies and solutions.
• Develop and implement a cohesive strategy that connects operational efficiency with marketing goals and business growth.
• Design and improve customer experiences by applying data-driven insights.
• Utilize AI and machine learning techniques for customer segmentation, propensity modeling, and predictive analytics specific to regulated Financial Services domains.
• Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of analytical model development, from design through deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives and measurable impact.
• Deploy and maintain models on cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, utilizing services like Azure Machine Learning, SageMaker, and Databricks while following governance and engineering standards.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior team members, sharing best practices in model creation, validation, and deployment.

Candidate Profile

Essential qualifications and skills:

• Proficient in Python and SQL for data manipulation, feature engineering, and creating reusable analytics code supporting marketing measurement and customer lifecycle analysis.
• Experience leading or actively contributing to comprehensive data science projects, balancing hands-on tasks and oversight of outcomes and quality.
• Skilled in using Power BI to create dashboards that facilitate audience segmentation, campaign and distribution performance analysis, focusing on delivering clear, explainable insights to business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with AI-powered lead scoring and signal-based platforms such as 6Sense or Bombora, especially in B2B and advisor-driven sales models.
• Solid understanding of financial data structures including customer, advisor, product, and transaction data, alongside regulatory, privacy, and model risk considerations within Financial Services.
• Proven ability to work closely with marketing, distribution, sales, data engineering, and technology teams to enhance targeting and customer engagement through analytics.
• Strong communication skills to translate complex analytical findings into actionable insights for non-technical audiences, emphasizing commercial relevance.
• Relevant experience in Data Science or Marketing Analytics, with demonstrable exposure to Financial Services and cloud analytical environments.

Desirable attributes:

• Experience mentoring team members or leading small analytical workstreams.
• Knowledge of experimental design, uplift modeling, and advanced marketing optimization techniques.
