Job Overview
We seek an experienced Data Scientist with more than eight years in semantic modeling, data product creation, and AI-ready architecture design. The successful candidate will focus on crafting semantic data models tailored for AI systems, analytics platforms, and business applications. Collaborating closely with data engineering, AI, and business units, you will define KPIs, create semantic and SQL layers, and support the company’s long-term AI and analytics strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop enterprise semantic data models for AI, analytics, and business use.
- Establish and operationalize business KPIs, metrics, dimensions, hierarchies, and inter-data relationships.
- Create and maintain semantic and logical data layers to support AI agents, reporting, and advanced analytical use cases.
- Build efficient SQL-based semantic views and reusable data assets.
- Partner with data engineers to align semantic models with data products and broader enterprise data infrastructure.
- Engage with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable semantic data models.
- Ensure uniformity, governance, and standard definitions across all data domains.
- Support AI initiatives by enabling structured, context-aware data accessibility for AI and generative AI applications.
- Optimize semantic data models for enhanced performance, scalability, and ease of use.
- Contribute to defining best practices in data architecture, quality assurance, and metadata management.
Required Expertise
- Proven proficiency in Databricks, PySpark, and SQL.
- Experience with Oracle database systems and enterprise-scale data platforms.
- Expertise in semantic modeling, dimensional data models, and data product frameworks.
- Ability to define and develop business KPIs, measures, and metrics.
- Deep knowledge of relational and analytical data modeling methodologies.
- Experience in constructing semantic layers for business intelligence, analytics, or AI applications.
- Understanding of metadata governance, data management, and business glossaries.
- Familiarity with AI and generative AI use cases regarding data consumption patterns.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with large-scale data modernization and cloud data platform initiatives.
- Exposure to Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Agentic AI, or enterprise AI solutions.
- Knowledge of Data Mesh architectures and Data Product operational models.
- Prior experience within Banking and Financial Services sectors.
