Job Overview

This position requires an experienced Data Scientist based in Dubai, working on computer vision projects for a 12-month contract. Candidates should have appropriate work authorization such as a Work Permit, Tourist Visa, or Dependent Visa and must be located in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and refine computer vision algorithms targeting object detection, tracking, and segmentation utilizing PyTorch, TensorFlow, and OpenCV frameworks.
• Engage directly in applying cutting-edge models including YOLO, RF-DETR, and Vision-Language Models, adapting them for specific project requirements.
• Manage the preparation, preprocessing, and enhancement of image and video datasets while collaborating closely with annotation teams to ensure data quality.
• Conduct rigorous model training, tuning, and evaluation using metrics like mean average precision (mAP), precision, and recall, iterating to achieve set accuracy benchmarks.
• Use experiment tracking systems such as MLflow or Weights & Biases for systematic management of training experiments and outcomes.
• Implement model optimization strategies including TensorRT and ONNX to meet deployment performance and resource constraints in practical environments.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in fields such as Computer Science, Data Science, or Machine Learning.
• Between 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience applying machine learning techniques, particularly focused on computer vision.
• Proficiency in Python programming and solid experience working with PyTorch or TensorFlow alongside OpenCV.
• Proven expertise in object detection, tracking, and segmentation model deployment and customization, including models like YOLO and RF-DETR.
• Experience fine-tuning Vision-Language Models is considered beneficial.
• Knowledge of experiment tracking tools and familiarity with model optimization approaches.
