Role Overview

We seek a full-time Data Science Mentor based in Kanyakumari district to provide guidance on core data science topics, including programming, statistics, machine learning, and data analytics. The role involves delivering engaging sessions, resolving learner doubts, giving personalized feedback on tasks and projects, and preparing students for technical interviews and assessments. Mentors will develop and enhance instructional materials, design problem sets and case studies, and track learner progress to ensure effective outcomes. Collaboration with academic and training teams to maintain and improve content quality is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interactive teaching sessions covering foundational and advanced data science concepts.
• Answer questions and clarify complex topics to ensure learner understanding.
• Evaluate assignments and projects, providing detailed personalized feedback.
• Design and refine curricula, problem sets, and real-world case studies relevant to data science.
• Monitor and assess learner progress regularly to meet educational goals.
• Collaborate with trainers and academic staff to maintain and enhance course quality and delivery.

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of data science fundamentals including statistics, probability, and machine learning techniques.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python or R, SQL, and data visualization tools.
• Experience handling real datasets, applying analytical methods, and interpreting results for practical use.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to learners with diverse backgrounds.
• Prior experience in mentoring, teaching, or training within data science or similar domains.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with effective classroom or group facilitation skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Willingness and ability to work on-site at Kanyakumari district and coordinate with cross-functional academic and operational teams.
• Understanding of placement preparation techniques, interview formats, and assessment standards of leading technology companies is an added benefit.
