Data Science Intern

About the Role

Sidhhi Plastic Industries is looking for an enthusiastic Data Science Intern to join their analytics team. This internship presents a unique chance to apply data science techniques to solve practical business challenges while working alongside seasoned professionals in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in gathering, cleaning, and preparing data from multiple sources
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover trends and insights
• Develop and evaluate predictive models through machine learning approaches
• Design visualizations and dashboards to effectively share results with stakeholders
• Help maintain and improve data processing pipelines
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to align with business objectives
• Maintain detailed documentation of methods, code, and outcomes for reproducibility
• Present analytic findings and suggestions to team members

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Bachelor's or Master's program in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or similar disciplines
• Proficient in programming with Python or R
• Solid grasp of statistical principles and data analysis methods
• Experience with SQL and querying databases
• Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Tableau, or Power BI
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills for both written and oral exchanges
• Capable of working independently as well as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with machine learning libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
• Understanding of big data platforms including Spark and Hadoop
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Previous internship or project experience in data science fields
• Knowledge of experimental design and A/B testing methodologies
• Portfolio showcasing personal or collaborative data science projects (e.g., GitHub, Kaggle)

• Duration of internship ranges from 10 to 12 weeks during Summer, Fall, or Spring sessions
