About the Role
Nair Systems LLC seeks a Data Quality Lead to join its operations in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in Data Governance, Quality and Management, specifically within the banking or related regulated industries sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and continuously improve the Data Quality Framework, standards, methodologies, procedures, and operational models to ensure comprehensive governance.
- Define enterprise-wide data quality principles, implementation controls, key performance indicators (KPIs), key risk indicators (KRIs), scorecards, and necessary reporting guidelines.
- Ensure all data quality activities align with Data Governance frameworks, Data Management policies, and applicable regulatory requirements, including Qatar Central Bank (QCB).
- Establish and supervise data quality rules addressing accuracy, completeness, consistency, validity, timeliness, uniqueness, and integrity of data.
- Monitor the data quality performance of Critical Data Elements (CDEs) within business and support units, providing insights through dashboards and scorecards.
- Deliver regular data quality status reports, highlighting trends, risks, and remediation progress to Data Governance Committees and senior management.
- Lead enterprise-wide Data Quality Issue Management efforts: facilitate identification, impact assessments, root cause analyses, remediation tracking, and validation of closures.
- Maintain and update the comprehensive Data Quality Issue Management Register, scrutinize remediation plans proposed by Data Owners, Stewards, and technology teams, and escalate significant data quality risks or unresolved issues via governance forums swiftly.
- Manage oversight of data quality controls underpinning regulatory, financial, risk, compliance, and managerial reporting processes.
- Collaborate alongside Risk, Finance, Compliance, and Business Units to improve data quality that supports regulatory submissions.
- Support regulatory audits, examinations, and other data-focused reviews effectively.
- Ensure data used for AI, advanced analytics, and machine learning initiatives adheres to defined quality standards, partnering with AI Governance teams to evaluate risks affecting AI models and processes.
- Assist in instituting data quality controls throughout AI and data lifecycle stages.
- Engage collaboratively with Data Owners, Stewards, IT, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Operations, business units, and subsidiaries to elevate data quality maturity and stewardship.
- Promote awareness and accountability regarding data quality and stewardship group-wide through governance forums and collaborative working groups prioritizing improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or equivalent relevant field.
- 8 to 12 years of professional exposure to Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Management, Risk Data Management, Regulatory Reporting, or similar disciplines.
- Experience in banking, financial services, or other highly regulated industries is essential.
- Strong command of Data Quality Management, Data Governance, Data Lineage, Metadata Management, Reference Data, and Master Data Management concepts and practices.
- Familiarity with Data Governance and Data Quality platforms such as Informatica, Collibra, Microsoft Purview, ABACUS, or comparable software solutions.

Joining period is expected within two weeks, with a maximum allowance of one month.
