About Etqan Global Academy
Etqan Global Academy (EGA) is a newly launched IB World School in Doha, Qatar, offering the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP). The school is part of Nord Anglia Education, a leading global network of premium international schools educating over 80,000 students worldwide.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Manager to oversee student data management and information systems, enabling leaders, educators, and families to access accurate and insightful data for informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and operate the school Management Information System (MIS), specifically iSAMS, including annual configuration, maintaining student records, and administering user access rights.
- Coordinate the collection of assessment data and generate detailed reports for PYP and MYP students.
- Conduct analyses of student academic attainment, progress, and attendance metrics, and present findings clearly to school leadership and teaching staff.
- Compile precise data submissions for regulatory bodies including the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the International Baccalaureate organization, and Nord Anglia Education.
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of student and staff data in compliance with Qatar's data protection legislation and organizational policies.
- Continuously enhance data management processes and strengthen integration between different school systems.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a degree in a relevant discipline.
- Have at least three years of professional experience in a school data management or MIS-related role.
- Demonstrated practical experience administering MIS platforms; prior experience with iSAMS is advantageous.
- Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities; familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or equivalent is beneficial.
- Exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment in handling confidential information, and ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in international schools or familiarity with the IB curriculum is preferred.
