About the Company
A publicly listed global asset manager and operator with extensive operations across multiple segments, currently establishing a Data & Digital function focused on preparing data for AI and Business Intelligence (BI) applications.
Role and Responsibilities
This role involves leading the design and implementation of Data Governance strategies across various business units and segments. Acting as a conduit between technical experts and business stakeholders, the position simplifies complex governance principles into actionable policies.
- Formulate enterprise-wide data policies, standards, and guidelines alongside business and IT leadership.
- Manage the deployment of Data Governance frameworks throughout the organization.
- Develop AI-driven agents and orchestrators to automate governance procedures, integrating automation into all rollouts.
- Create Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) to validate the data strategy.
- Oversee implementation of metadata management, data quality assurance, data lineage (including ontologies and knowledge graphs), and data privacy protocols.
- Collaborate with data and business stewards to integrate data assets into governance tools and encourage their use.
- Conduct cross-department workshops and training sessions, promoting a culture of trust in data.
- Establish governance-related KPIs and dashboards, monitoring policy adherence and maturity levels.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated success in deploying Data Governance across sizable enterprises or multiple business units.
- In-depth knowledge of metadata management, data quality, data lineage, and data privacy.
- Familiarity with ontologies and knowledge graphs concepts and applications.
- Practical experience with AI agents and automation technology applied to governance tasks.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, experienced in facilitating workshops and educational sessions bridging business and technical teams.
