We are searching for a skilled Data Engineer specializing in SSIS to contribute to our data science and supply chain planning solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and refine IBPL queries, stored procedures, SSIS packages, and ETL workflows to support advanced data science and planning activities.
- Integrate forecasting models, machine learning modules, plugin scripts, and database routines with the core product platform.
- Develop a deep understanding of the platform’s data architecture, including table structures and relationships, to optimize for planning use cases.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and business consultants to gather requirements and design scalable, efficient integration solutions.
- Ensure accurate delivery of demand forecasting and supply chain planning applications.
- Create and conduct test plans, perform validations, document defects, and oversee issue tracking and resolution.
- Enhance query performance, data pipeline efficiency, storage, and retrieval mechanisms for scalability.
- Monitor data integrations and system health; troubleshoot and resolve issues ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance with privacy regulations.
- Support deployment activities, oversee production monitoring, and help ensure successful project completion.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum two years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL development, or data integration roles.
- Proficient with SSIS, SQL, PL/SQL, ETL processes, stored procedures, and package lifecycle management including scheduling and error handling.
- Strong knowledge of database management systems, database design principles, and data governance standards.
- Experience with dimensional modeling techniques, including Star and Snowflake schema designs.
- Skilled in integrating data across diverse sources such as databases, files, APIs, XML, JSON, and enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with Python and/or R for data manipulation, automation, and analytics tasks.
- Understanding of Apache Spark frameworks and the ability to tune performance.
- Proven expertise in data warehousing, mining, and managing large-volume data processing along with query optimization.
- Insight into supply chain planning concepts, demand forecasting, and relevant business processes.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, effective communication, thorough documentation abilities, and stakeholder engagement experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
Preferred Technology & Knowledge
- Experience with supply chain planning platforms such as o9 Solutions or equivalent.
- Exposure to cloud integration tools like Azure Data Factory, Azure SSIS Integration Runtime.
- Competence in BI tools including Power BI or Tableau.
- Understanding of machine learning frameworks and embedding models within systems.
- Familiarity with version control and DevOps tools: Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, SQL Server Agent.
- Awareness of data privacy legislation such as GDPR, CCPA.
