Role Overview and Responsibilities

• Lead data reconciliation activities from source to target, parallel testing, and validation of data transformations to confirm alignment of Azure Data Factory and dbt outputs with established Ab Initio processing logic and business rules.
• Develop and oversee comprehensive data testing strategies in large-scale enterprise data warehouse (EDW) migration projects transitioning from legacy ETL platforms to cloud-native environments.
• Create and automate strong data validation frameworks using dbt testing capabilities, SQL-based reconciliation, Azure Data Factory validation processes, and bespoke auditing frameworks.
• Validate complex transformation rules, aggregations, business logic, and dimensional schema across different data layers, including staging, curated, and reporting tiers.
• Mentor and manage distributed quality assurance and testing teams operating both onsite and offshore.
• Coordinate system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), regression, reconciliation, and production validation workflows.
• Monitor and report on execution progress, defect resolution, data quality indicators, and testing metrics to stakeholders and program leadership.
• Build reusable frameworks facilitating continuous data quality surveillance, automated reconciliation, data lineage checks, source-to-target validations, and regression tests.
• Collaborate effectively with data architects, ETL developers, business analysts, and platform teams to ensure smooth data migration delivery.
• Support root cause investigations and defect triage for discrepancies and failures within data pipelines.
• Ensure strict adherence to company governance policies, audit requirements, compliance standards, and quality assurance protocols.

Qualifications and Required Expertise

• Over 10 years of experience in data warehousing and ETL testing with demonstrated leadership roles.
• Profound knowledge of ETL/ELT principles and proven experience in migration testing from legacy systems to cloud-based platforms.
• Specialized skills in data validation, transformation testing, reconciliation, source-to-target verification, and assurance of data quality.
• In-depth understanding of Ab Initio technologies, including validating graphs, mappings, and processing workflows.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory pipeline testing, orchestration flows, and metadata-driven frameworks.
• Proficiency in dbt, covering testing, snapshot usage, SQL transformations, model validation, and data lineage confirmation.
• Advanced SQL skills, particularly with modern cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake.
• Solid grasp of dimensional modeling and concepts fundamental to enterprise data warehousing.
• Experience managing defects and testing workflows supported by tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or their equivalents.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder collaboration, and leadership skills to guide QA/testing teams and interact with business units.

Eligibility

Applicants must hold at least a graduate degree in any discipline.

Compensation

The expected salary range is between 2,000,000 and 3,500,000 Indian Rupees annually.
