About the Role
G4S Secure Solutions Ireland is recruiting for a Data Centre Security Officer based in Clondalkin, Dublin. This role involves ensuring the safety and security of the data centre, clients' assets, and personnel by performing a variety of security functions including patrols, surveillance, and emergency response.
Compensation and Schedule
- Base pay of €15.41 per hour plus a €1.45 site-specific allowance.
- Additional pay includes Sunday premium of €3.44 per hour, unsociable hours, overtime, and bank holiday pay.
- Typical working hours are 36+ per week, with shifts from 07:00-19:00 and 19:00-07:00, Monday through Sunday or as per roster.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct security patrols to maintain the safety of the site and the people within it.
- Monitor CCTV systems and access control to detect and respond to potential security risks.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies calmly and professionally.
- Provide excellent customer service while remaining security-focused.
- Document incidents accurately and report suspicious activities in real-time.
- Work in collaboration with emergency services to handle situations efficiently.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 2 years of experience specifically in data centre security roles.
- Valid PSA Security Guarding licence is required; Security Guarding Monitoring licence is desirable.
- Five years of verifiable employment and personal history for screening and vetting purposes.
- Previous security experience within Ireland is essential.
- Possession of SafePass and Manual Handling Certificates is advantageous.
- Fluent in spoken and written English at minimum C1 proficiency level.

- Team player who collaborates effectively with colleagues and emergency services.
- Excellent time management balancing patrol and administrative duties.
