About the Role
Join Securitas Ireland as a Data Centre Security Officer based in Clonee, County Meath. In this key position, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of a vital data centre environment, working with a prestigious client. This role demands a professional, vigilant, and courteous approach to protecting people, property, and assets while providing a welcoming atmosphere for employees and visitors.
Work Details
- Position requires full-time hours with a flexible schedule including days, nights, and weekends; minimum 36 hours per week.
- Onsite role with shifts covering 24/7 security patrols and monitoring.
Compensation
- Hourly rate of €18.26 plus an additional €20.00 per hour for night duty and applicable Sunday premiums.
Primary Responsibilities
- Execute routine and special security and reception tasks, including access control, monitoring CCTV, alarm systems, and event detection following established protocols.
- Maintain orderly conduct within the facility, especially during emergencies.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises, inspect buildings, equipment, and access points while granting authorized entry.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports related to site patrols and incidents.
- Handle lost and found procedures and other related security duties as required.
- Immediately identify and report any security or health and safety threats during patrols.
- Gain and maintain comprehensive understanding of Post Orders and Site Operating Procedures.
- Support access control processes including badge management, key distribution, visitor and contractor compliance, and supervising escorts as needed.
- Wear uniform in compliance with global security standards.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Valid PSA Licence and relevant local security certifications.
- Proven experience in security, complemented by excellent communication abilities and a polite, professional demeanor.
- Strong customer service and reception capabilities.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications and competent use of two-way radios.
- Excellent observational and multi-tasking skills.
- Full clean EU driving license and a clean driving record with no at-fault incidents in the past five years.
- Ability to work a fully flexible roster covering all shifts including days, nights, and weekends.
