Data Analytics Sales Specialist - Google Cloud

Overview

Join the Google Cloud Platform team as a Data Analytics Sales Specialist, dedicated to driving the growth of Agentic Data Cloud business. This role involves partnering with customers to reveal genuine business value, showcase product functionalities, and highlight strategic business use cases. Focus on positioning Google Cloud’s data suite — including BigQuery, Knowledge Catalog, and Borderless Lakehouse — as the leading platform for Agentic workflows. Advocate the significance of Lakehouse architecture, semantic cataloging, and governance in delivering high-quality, hallucination-free AI agents, facilitating clients to harness unified data foundations for real-time, AI-driven applications.

Work collaboratively with entrepreneurial teams to empower businesses of all sizes in their digital transformation journey using technology, enhancing connectivity with customers, employees, and partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and nurture relationships with C-level executives as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, steering complex business discussions, identifying tailored solution use cases, and influencing long-term strategic account directions.
• Consistently meet or surpass sales quotas, while forecasting and reporting on your territory’s business achievements aligned with strategic growth objectives.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Customer Engineering, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Channels to formulate go-to-market strategies, accelerate pipeline development and business expansion, and ensure exemplary customer and prospect experiences.
• Design comprehensive analytics solution roadmaps tailored to clients’ distinct business and technical requirements.
• Deliver presentations on modern data architectures such as BigQuery, Apache Spark, Spanner, and AlloyDB, showcasing their role in enabling high-performance, hallucination-minimized AI agents powered by unified data foundations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 10 years of enterprise sales experience with quota responsibilities.
• 5 years of consulting experience in data and analytics, preferably in management consulting or systems integration, with expertise in positioning data or AI business use cases for clients.
• Proven ability to create compelling business cases through workshops or product demonstrations aimed at business executives.
• Experience in establishing partnerships with technical stakeholders like Enterprise Architects, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists.
• Demonstrated experience marketing and selling technical solutions in data management, analytics, infrastructure, or AI/ML domains.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive (10 years) sales experience focused on data analytics or data management technologies.
• Proficiency in positioning and selling streaming technologies, open data lakehouses, and analytics tools such as Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, and Apache Spark as alternatives to traditional, proprietary platforms.
• Experience marketing AI platforms, agent-driven solutions, and low-latency, scalable operational data services based on open data frameworks.
• Use of AI or agentic tools in customer presentations and discussions.
• Strong knowledge of cloud and data analytics products including BigQuery, Looker, and Dataproc, along with the ability to demonstrate these technologies effectively.
