Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the Dairy/Frozen department's cleanliness, organization, and proper zoning to ensure it always looks welcoming to customers.
• Regularly rotate stock and monitor product expiration dates to guarantee freshness and uphold quality standards.
• Ensure all items are correctly priced and signed, adhering strictly to company procedures for ordering, markdowns, labeling, clearance, and pricing accuracy.
• Follow all cold chain protocols, food safety practices, and sanitation procedures, including temperature monitoring, thermometer calibration, correct product handling, checking sell-by and expiration dates.
• Support merchandising standards by maintaining department features and assisting with promotional displays.
• Keep the work area hazard-free, clean, and compliant with company policies and health and safety regulations by promptly removing debris and spills.
• Adapt to a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays to help ensure smooth store operations and consistent service quality.

Challenges

• Handle a demanding workload in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing overnight hours by planning and maintaining energy levels throughout shifts.
• Manage high volumes of restocking and recovery tasks efficiently and accurately to meet deadlines.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as standing for long periods, bending, and lifting items typically weighing up to 20 lbs., occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive duties like stocking and zoning with attention to detail to meet store standards.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $17.75.
