About the Role
Join Walmart Canada as a Dairy Frozen Associate and gain valuable experience working in a fast-paced retail setting. This role is focused on delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining a clean, organized, and well-arranged Dairy and Frozen foods section. You will be involved in supporting stocking, sales activities, and ensuring fresh products are constantly available. This position suits individuals who want to engage with customers and develop retail service skills.
Primary Duties
- Keep the Dairy and Frozen department tidy, orderly, and properly zoned to maintain a customer-friendly environment at all times.
- Regularly rotate products and inspect merchandise for expiration to uphold freshness and quality.
- Ensure accurate pricing and signage, complying with established protocols for ordering, markdowns, clearances, and labeling.
- Follow strict cold chain, food safety, and sanitation standards including temperature monitoring, thermometer calibration, proper handling, and cleaning procedures.
- Maintain merchandising features that align with promotional and merchandising guidelines.
- Ensure the workspace is safe, clean, and free of hazards, aligning with company policies and health & safety requirements.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support operational continuity.
Challenges and Physical Requirements
- Handle busy and high-volume work demands efficiently, especially during overnight shifts, while managing energy and focus.
- Perform physical activities such as prolonged standing, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 20 lbs regularly, and sometimes up to 50 lbs.
- Carry out routine repetitive activities like stocking, zoning, and organizing products with great attention to detail.

Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this role is $17.75.
