Job description
Overview
This role focuses on keeping inventory records accurate through ongoing cycle counts completed efficiently while remaining on your feet for long periods. The position also involves investigating and resolving differences in inventory data by reviewing all available information and following established inventory control processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out physical inventory counts and verify them against system records.
- Look into variances between the physical count and the system count.
- Share cycle count results with the appropriate inventory contacts.
- Follow all cycle counting rules, procedures, and guidelines.
- Keep inventory count logs and related data files up to date.
- Trace the source of count discrepancies.
- Handle additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a comparable role.
- Prior forklift operation experience is required.
- Working knowledge of computer applications, especially MS Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to follow company policies and safety requirements.
- Ability to lift and/or pull up to 50 lbs without restriction.
- Must complete duties as directed by management.
- Must be available for irregular or extended shifts, including weekends and, when needed by the customer, holidays.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended continuous periods.
