Cyber Security Architect

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Cyber Security Architect to design, implement, and enhance enterprise security architecture within our organization based in the United Arab Emirates. This position involves collaborating closely with technology, cloud, infrastructure, engineering, and business units to create secure, scalable, and resilient digital systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and uphold enterprise cybersecurity architecture and frameworks.
• Develop security standards, principles, technical guidelines, and architectural models.
• Analyze applications, networks, infrastructures, cloud platforms, and technologies to identify security risks.
• Define and enforce security controls for network, endpoint, application, cloud, and identity environments.
• Partner with engineering and IT teams to integrate security into various technology initiatives.
• Perform security architecture reviews and propose appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Support initiatives related to Zero Trust, Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption, network security, and data protection.
• Evaluate cybersecurity technologies, platforms, and third-party solutions for organizational fit.
• Participate in threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and security risk analyses.
• Ensure alignment of security architecture with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Create architecture diagrams, technical documentation, standards, and security reports.
• Provide technical guidance to security engineering and infrastructure teams.
• Monitor new and emerging cyber threats and suggest enhancements to improve security posture.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, or related architecture roles.
• Comprehensive knowledge covering network, cloud, application, endpoint, and identity security domains.
• Familiarity with security frameworks, controls, risk evaluations, and security architecture concepts.
• Experience with major cloud security platforms such as AWS, Azure, or others preferred.
• Understanding of IAM, Zero Trust models, encryption technologies, SIEM, vulnerability management, and threat modeling methodologies.
• Strong analytical, architectural design, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication paired with stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Certifications like CISSP, CCSP, SABSA, or equivalent are beneficial.
• Ability to translate complex security requirements into practical and effective technical implementations.
