About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct proactive threat hunting utilizing cyber threat intelligence, known attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and keeping abreast of new threat trends.
- Detect malicious or suspicious activities across various environments including endpoints, servers, cloud platforms, and network infrastructure.
- Document investigative findings comprehensively and propose additional actions when needed.
- Engage in atomic testing to verify security controls, monitoring visibility, and response effectiveness.
- Validate the organization's detection capabilities against known adversary behaviors and attack methods.
- Provide detailed documentation with recommendations for improving defensive measures.
- Support and participate actively in red and purple team exercises to evaluate overall defensive efficacy.
- Assist in cyber incident investigations by performing digital forensic collection and analysis of relevant systems and artifacts.
- Determine attack scope, affected assets, root causes, and attacker activities through event correlation and timeline reconstruction.
- Support containment, eradication, and recovery during cybersecurity incidents.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance and fulfill any other related duties as requested.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a degree or diploma coupled with 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity-focused roles.
- Preferred certifications include CISSP, GCFA, GREM, OSCP, CRTP, CRTO, and OSWE.
- Experience within the gaming, banking, or critical infrastructure sectors is advantageous.
- Skilled in using offensive security tools such as Cobalt Strike, Empire, Havoc, and Mythic.
- Experienced in building red team Command and Control (C2) setups including web servers, proxy servers, redirectors, and domain fronting methods.
- Competent in crafting malicious payloads with a firm grasp of obfuscation and encryption tactics.
- Proficient in at least one scripting language (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) and/or programming languages such as Python, C, C#, C++, or Java.
- Solid understanding of fundamental networking principles and internet protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP(S), SMTP, DNS, SSL/TLS.
- Familiarity with recognized security testing frameworks and penetration testing methodologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of enterprise IT operations and security assessment processes.
