Role Overview

The Customer Support Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding support to educational institutions across New Zealand. Responsibilities include handling phone and email inquiries, assisting with troubleshooting, and ensuring timely solutions to customer issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming phone calls and email requests with a balance between both mediums.
  • Provide support for firewall policy applications and changes.
  • Administer filtering modifications as required.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain Local Area Networks, including switches and access point management.
  • Process returns of faulty equipment efficiently.
  • Address general inquiries from customers.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess either junior level network engineering expertise or relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), NSE 4+, or Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) preferred.
  • Technical proficiency with technologies such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Ruckus, Active Directory, Radius servers, Google G Suite, Azure AD, mail platforms like MailRelay, Allied Telesis, Cisco, and Aerohive.
  • Experience with Supply Chain Management (SCM) is beneficial.
  • Background in customer service or call center environments demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, initiative, and commitment to positive customer outcomes.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Contract Details and Work Environment

This is a 12-month fixed-term position based onsite in Christchurch with flexible work-from-home options.
