Job description

Overview

The New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) Contact Centre is expanding and inviting applications from individuals passionate about delivering excellent customer service. This is a permanent full-time position offering hybrid work arrangements—splitting time between office and home, where suitable.

The starting salary is $62,192 plus KiwiSaver contributions. NZTA provides comprehensive training and development, with clear opportunities for advancement into senior customer service roles accompanied by increased pay. Employees also enjoy a range of attractive benefits.

Role Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality support to customers via inbound phone calls and email communication. Your role will involve offering prompt, accurate, and helpful advice, positively influencing the customer experience.

Work Hours and Training

  • Standard working hours are 40 per week across rotating shifts, with rosters updated every three weeks.
  • Shift times include weekdays from 7:55 AM to 6:00 PM and weekends from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with required availability for weekend shifts.
  • Initial onboarding and training require full-time presence (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM), with induction programs beginning 29 October.

Knowledge or openness to understanding Te Ao Māori, promoting tikanga and Te Reo Māori, as well as an appreciation of the Treaty of Waitangi in a public sector context, are valued.
