Customer Service Representative

Overview

U-Haul is seeking friendly and motivated individuals to join as Customer Service Representatives. In this role, you will be an essential part of a supportive team, acting as the face of the company by delivering exceptional service and assisting customers throughout their journeys. Your responsibilities will include inspecting and maintaining equipment, assisting customers with U-Haul products and services, and utilizing current technology systems for dispatching and equipment return. U-Haul provides on-the-job training to support your growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with U-Haul products and services both inside and outside the location
• Operate smartphone-based U-Scan technology for rental and inventory management
• Move, hook up, and take care of U-Haul trucks and trailers
• Clean and inspect equipment regularly, including fluid level checks
• Educate customers and respond to inquiries regarding products and services
• Prepare rental invoices and process equipment returns
• Install hitches and trailer wiring as needed
• Fill propane tanks (certification provided upon employment)
• Operate forklifts (certification provided upon employment)
• Perform other assigned duties and participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University

Minimum Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification

Workplace Environment

The position involves moderate risks and requires adherence to safety precautions due to interactions with moving machinery, fumes, and irritants. Protective gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields may be required.

Physical Requirements

This role entails physical activities including standing for long periods, moving about indoor and outdoor areas, reaching objects at different heights, and handling equipment weighing at least 50 lbs, both assisted and unassisted.
