Job description

About the Role

Join our energetic and positive Customer Service team at the City of Wagga Wagga, located in Mount Austin, New South Wales. We are seeking motivated and skilled individuals who are passionate about delivering excellent service within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Position Details

  • One permanent, full-time position (35 hours per week).
  • One temporary full-time position (12-month fixed term, 35 hours per week).
  • Salary starting at $2,686.30 gross per fortnight, with potential progression to $3,223.56 gross per fortnight, plus 12% superannuation.
  • Staff aged 15-18 years are remunerated according to the Local Government (State) Award 2023, Clause 32 on Junior and Trainee Employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the initial point of contact for community inquiries and provide helpful guidance to internal and external customers.
  • Handle call center operations effectively.
  • Process applications and various requests accurately and promptly.
  • Provide timely feedback on unresolved customer issues.
  • Manage cash handling duties, including receipting and financial reconciliation.

Requirements for Success

  • Considerable prior experience in customer service or administrative roles related to this position.
  • Strong time management capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment as well as independently.
