About the Role
Join the team at IKEA Galway’s innovative smaller format store as a Customer Meeting Point (CMP) Operations Coordinator. This fast-paced position involves overseeing daily operational functions to ensure an efficient, welcoming, and motivational environment for customers and coworkers alike. Bringing together leadership of people and routines, shift management, and area readiness, you will contribute to delivering inspiring retail experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate daily team operations by assigning tasks and activities across various store functions.
- Ensure safety, compliance, and adherence to operational standards through daily process application to optimize profitability and fulfill commercial objectives.
- Respond proactively to customer feedback, supporting the team to maintain exceptional service standards, product availability, and quality.
- Work collaboratively with team members to implement sales support tools enhancing commercial effectiveness and operational excellence.
- Initiate corrective measures based on feedback from customers and coworkers while aligning improvements with IKEA’s global and national strategies.
Candidate Profile
- Adopts a collaborative communication style, effectively motivating and engaging a team.
- Possesses or is willing to acquire knowledge of relevant systems, commercial and operational processes related to sales and customer engagement within IKEA’s Customer Meeting Point framework.
- Understands and complies with the IKEA Code of Conduct, along with health, safety, and security regulations.
- Organized and capable of establishing structured routines to manage a large team and prioritize tasks effectively, with agility in addressing business and customer demands.
- Decisive and adaptable, able to delegate responsibilities and thrive in a dynamic environment focused on flexibility, speed, and simplicity, leveraging experience to achieve results amid operational changes.

- Employment commencement in mid October 2026.
- Annual starting salary of €35,000.
- Work schedule consists of 39 hours per week over five days, including day shifts, evenings, and alternating weekends.
