Role Overview
The Custody Client Service Units group serves as the primary contact point for clients and their agents regarding all aspects of Custody Operations. This team is also responsible for producing and analyzing Management Information Systems (MIS), monitoring risks, and managing coding tasks.
This opening at the Associate 2 level provides an opportunity to engage with clients directly and develop comprehensive client service skills. Strong interpersonal abilities and a clear client-oriented mindset are essential for success in this position.

You will be part of State Street Global Services (SSGS), which offers asset owners and managers a suite of financial tools essential to creating effective investment strategies. Their service offerings range from core custody, accounting, fund administration, and shareholder recordkeeping to complete operations for alternative assets such as OTC derivatives, private equity, and real estate. SSGS tools enable clients to make informed investment decisions and seize growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily communication with clients and their agents concerning all custody operation functions.
- Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are tracked and met efficiently.
- Provide assistance to custody Centers of Excellence in resolving complex issues when required.
- Generate and analyze management information for operational insights.
- Adhere strictly to Risk Excellence principles and exemplify ethical conduct and decision-making as part of the organization's core values.
Desired Skills and Attributes
- Develop both functional and technical expertise across various disciplines by participating in necessary training sessions.
- Process system information accurately, following internal standards like Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Aids.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure overall success.
- Proactively present ideas to management to enhance operational processes.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client and internal department inquiries.
- Identify, report, and manage all risks, compliance issues, breaches, or suspicious activities.

Educational and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Financial Services, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in custody operations is required.
- Client service experience is preferred.
