Job Overview

This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and operational condition of Gila County buildings and grounds. Duties include comprehensive custodial tasks covering offices, meeting rooms, courtrooms, hallways, restrooms, kitchens, entrances, parking lots, as well as handling County materials, equipment, and supplies.

Primary Duties

• Execute routine custodial activities such as mopping, vacuuming, dusting, buffing and waxing floors, power washing, window cleaning, trash removal, snow shoveling, and restroom stocking following departmental protocols and safety requirements.
• Ensure safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials related to health and safety concerns.
• Stay current on cleaning agents and their proper usage to comply with County Health Department safety standards.
• Identify and report minor maintenance needs like lights, tables, faucets, and drains; complete necessary custodial documentation and reports.
• Lead or assist with special cleaning projects and recycling initiatives.
• Support inventory management of custodial supplies.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, assembling furniture, painting, and washing dishes as needed.
• Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
