About the Role

The Pinecrest Supports and Services Center is committed to aiding individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, focusing on treatment that supports integration into community living. The center specializes in assisting clients with complex medical, behavioral, and psychiatric needs. We seek a diligent Custodian (levels 1 to 3) to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all Pinecrest campus buildings.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform heavy-duty cleaning including mopping floors with chemical solutions following OSHA guidelines.
• Sweep porches and sidewalks to maintain a safe environment.
• Vacuum carpets and clean bathrooms thoroughly, ensuring fixtures are sanitized.
• Properly dispose of medical "Red Bags" and daily trash from waste containers.
• Clean spills of food and beverages promptly.
• Restock soap, towels, and toilet paper dispensers regularly.
• Carry out high-level dusting and clean ceilings, light fixtures, fans, HVAC vents.
• Dust or wash walls, doors, furniture, mirrors, and woodwork.
• Clean windows and window screens.
• Rearrange furniture to clean behind, underneath, and along walls.
• Manage inventory and adequate supplies of cleaning and housekeeping materials.

Qualifications

No previous experience or specific training is needed to be considered for this role.

Position Details

• Appointment may include probation, promotion, lateral transfer, demotion, or detail to special duty; preference for permanent classified Pinecrest employees.
• Work schedule runs 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday with Saturdays and Sundays off.
• Salary varies by position level and qualifications, with hourly wages ranging from $10.00 to $22.05 plus $1.00 per hour longevity pay.

Salary Scale

• Custodian 1: $10.00 - $18.00 per hour
• Custodian 2: $10.70 - $19.26 per hour
• Custodian 3: $12.25 - $22.05 per hour
