About the Role

The e:: Platform team focuses on advancing software development to deliver stable, secure, and high-performance microscopy solutions rapidly and continuously. The platform emphasizes flexibility to adapt to strategic, technical, and market changes, fostering an attractive environment for developers, and providing open interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain high-quality software components using modern programming languages including C++20/23 and Rust, incorporating AI coding assistants and agents daily.
• Participate in an agile software development process with a strong emphasis on continuous integration and deployment/delivery.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test software tailored to state-of-the-art microscopy applications.
• Investigate and integrate emerging technologies to sustain the platform's innovative edge.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Strong expertise in C++ or Rust programming languages, preferably experienced in both.
• Proficient English communication skills, both written and spoken, for effective collaboration with international teams.
• Knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and modern development tools.
• Practical experience utilizing agentic AI tools in software development such as AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor), prompt and context engineering, and AI-supported code reviews and testing.
• Capability to critically evaluate AI-generated code in C++ and Rust concerning correctness, security, and performance (including memory safety, concurrency, and undefined behavior).
• Desirable: experience constructing agentic workflows or tools involving large language model APIs, multi-agent coordination patterns, and embedding them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Academic degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum of five years of practical software development experience within application or large-scale professional systems.
• Familiarity with agile frameworks such as Scrum and Feature-Driven Development (FDD) and continuous integration/delivery methodologies.
• Open-minded, adaptable, solution-focused with readiness to embrace evolving technologies, AI enhancements, and market needs.
• Constructive team player mindset with an emphasis on collaboration and proposing actionable solutions over criticism.
