Cost Estimation Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Cost Estimation Engineer to join our team located in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate should possess substantial expertise in cost estimation, tendering processes, and handling government projects, particularly with hands-on experience using the Etimad Platform.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in cost estimation and tender management.
• Demonstrable background working with government tenders and projects.
• Proficient use of the Etimad Platform for tender activities.
• Capability to analyze and assess both technical and financial offers effectively.
• Comprehensive understanding of BOQ analysis, quantity take-offs, and pricing techniques.
• Good grasp of costs related to materials, labor, equipment, and project implementation.
• Competence in preparing precise cost estimates and executing pricing analyses.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and effective communication skills.
• Prior experience in the construction and contracting sectors.
• Preference given to candidates of Egyptian nationality.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate government tenders and projects via the Etimad Platform.
• Scrutinize tender documents, specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
• Draft and analyze the Bill of Quantities (BOQs) alongside project pricing.
• Analyze both direct and indirect costs involved with projects.
• Assess technical and financial proposals critically.
• Verify accuracy of quantities, unit prices, and overall pricing.
• Carry out market price research to support competitive tender pricing.
• Generate cost estimations, financial evaluations, and tender documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, suppliers, and relevant stakeholders to ensure precise pricing data.
• Prepare professional recommendations and management reports.
• Monitor tender submissions and ensure compliance throughout the tendering process.
