Cost Estimation Engineer

About the Role

DVC Process Technologies (I) Pvt. Ltd. seeks an experienced Cost Estimation Engineer to manage cost evaluation, tender processes, vendor assessments, and commercial activities in engineering and process industry projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive cost estimates for goods and services required.
• Prepare cost assessments for vendors, machining, and purchased components.
• Implement and oversee the tendering process effectively.
• Evaluate technical and commercial bids received from vendors.
• Lead vendor negotiations to secure favorable pricing.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project teams on cost-related requirements.
• Analyze costs related to materials, manufacturing, labor, and other project expenses.
• Assist procurement and project teams by providing precise cost data.
• Maintain thorough records of cost estimations, quotations, and documentation.
• Identify and recommend opportunities for cost savings and value engineering.

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE/B.Tech).
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Preferably experienced in cost estimation, tendering, procurement, and engineering or process industry projects.
• Strong analytical abilities and negotiation expertise.
• Solid knowledge of engineering materials, machined parts, and purchased items.
• Effective communication and coordination capabilities.
