Overview

This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring efficient handling of merchandise from storage to sales floor, and supporting loss prevention by maintaining keen product awareness and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer courteous and helpful assistance to customers, guiding them through product selections, promoting offerings, resolving issues or directing concerns to management as appropriate.
• Maintain high standards on the sales floor by replenishing stock, rotating products, removing expired or damaged goods, setting up and managing displays, and ensuring correct signage and pricing.
• Handle merchandise receiving and stocking, including picking and downstocking tasks as required. Apply product protection measures when necessary and organize modulars including flexible layouts and new shelf additions.
• Manage claims and returns responsibly, secure merchandise, identify items with high shrink rates, and actively participate in loss prevention efforts compliant with company policies.
• Assist in customer service and provide support for frontline store operations when necessary, coordinating with the Customer Service Manager for certain service or transactional needs.
• Serve as the cosmetics subject-matter expert within the department, offering knowledgeable guidance and increasing customer awareness of available assistance.
• Demonstrate flexibility in work hours, including willingness to cover shifts during evenings, weekends, and holidays to ensure seamless store operations.

Work Environment and Challenges

• Navigate a high-volume, fast-paced setting by managing overnight and varied shifts effectively to maintain focus and energy throughout.
• Execute physically demanding tasks, including standing for long durations, bending, and lifting merchandise or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Perform repetitive duties such as stocking, zoning, and organizing with consistent attention to detail to uphold store presentation standards.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $18.40 per hour.
