- Develop and maintain robust connections with journalists, editors, and media outlets in primary markets including UAE, US, UK, and KSA.
- Balance proactive storytelling efforts with rapid and thoughtful responses to shifting narratives and crises.
- Lead reputation management by planning crisis communication protocols, statements, and messaging frameworks to protect the organization and its ventures.
- Ensure consistent messaging aligning with Disrupt’s tone, values, and strategic goals across all public communications.
- Organize and execute high-profile PR campaigns, venture launches, and corporate announcements positioning Disrupt as an innovation frontrunner.
- Collaborate with executives to generate thought leadership content, media appearances, and speaking engagements that enhance credibility.
- Serve as the communications advisor for Disrupt ventures, guiding founders on messaging and media strategies to maintain group coherence.
- Represent the company as a media spokesperson and coach other leaders to handle media interactions effectively.
- Oversee PR agencies, consultants, and external partners to ensure alignment with objectives, budget control, and measurable results.
- Adapt communication approaches to different regional markets, ensuring cultural sensitivity and relevance.
- Establish KPIs for media performance, share of voice, and sentiment monitoring; translate analytics into strategic recommendations.
- Employ modern communication tools, analytics dashboards, and advancing AI technologies to optimize media monitoring and message effectiveness.
- Coordinate cross-departmentally with Marketing, Legal, People, and Investor Relations to align internal and external communications.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5-8 years experience in corporate communications, public relations, or media strategy, preferably in technology, venture capital, or fast-growing B2B/B2C sectors.
- Proven track record developing and executing PR and reputation strategies across diverse markets.
- Expertise in managing crisis communications with discretion and confidence.
- Extensive media network within business, technology, innovation, and trade sectors.
- Exceptional skills in storytelling, writing, and editing to distill complex information into compelling narratives.
- Experience preparing executives for interviews, panels, and media engagements.
- Proficient in managing press materials and shaping long-term communication strategies.
- Experienced in coordinating PR agencies and multi-market campaigns aligned with KPIs.
- Familiarity with communication analytics tools and data-driven evaluation.
- Comfort working across multiple time zones and fast-paced environments.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related disciplines.
Personal Attributes
