Job Overview
The Corporate Account Manager plays a key role in acquiring business and managing client relationships for Canad Inns while meeting financial goals and adhering to company standards. This position requires active participation in the local community and business events to represent Canad Inns and to serve as a liaison between clients and Destination Centres. Travel is a regular part of the role, with visits to locations such as Portage la Prairie, Brandon, and Grand Forks, ND, USA.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize potential new clients at local, regional, and national levels utilizing market intelligence and networking resources
- Show creativity and dedication in meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Ensure prompt follow-up on tentative business leads to secure signed agreements
- Engage potential clients and influence decision-makers to utilize Canad Inns’ services
- Maintain industry contacts to stay informed on market trends and competitor activities including product, pricing, and positioning
- Prepare and present professional proposals, agreements, and correspondence
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of Canad Inns products and facilities, conducting site inspections when necessary and actively promoting services
- Keep internal and external clients updated to maintain quality assurance
- Assist in setting personal annual sales objectives and plans
- Participate actively in corporate sales meetings
- Collaborate with the VP of Sales and sales managers to strategize sales approaches
- Distribute sales leads appropriately with clear calls-to-action and detailed profiles
- Develop responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for potential customers
- Support marketing activities such as trade shows, displays, and networking events where needed
- Conduct outbound follow-up with existing customers to cross-sell and upsell via phone and email
- Handle incoming unsolicited calls from prospects and convert them into sales opportunities
- Address objections from potential customers effectively
- Highlight features and benefits of Canad Inns' offerings, explain quoting processes, credit terms, and prepare sales documents
- Maintain accurate and current customer information in the client database
- Investigate and resolve customer service issues
- Attend occasional sales training sessions
- Represent the brand and corporate values professionally
- Respond courteously and professionally to customer inquiries regarding events, orders, payments, refunds, and more
- Perform additional duties as assigned
