Job description
About the Role
We are offering a permanent full-time position with a world-leading dairy company located in Stuart Park, Darwin. This hands-on role involves working within the Cool Room team at the end of the manufacturing line to handle and arrange finished products for subsequent picking and distribution.
Key Duties
- Unload and stack crates containing finished goods to prepare for storage as well as for picking, packing, and distribution activities.
- Precisely pick, palletise, label, and dispatch customer orders while ensuring timely loading and unloading of trucks in compliance with safety and production standards.
- Operate forklifts competently and safely following all on-site safety procedures.
- Maintain stock quality by correctly receiving, storing, tracking, and distributing items in a saleable condition.
- Ensure all orders and receipts are accurately documented and promptly communicate any operational issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene within the work areas.
- Contribute to team growth by helping train new employees and performing additional relevant duties as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Physically capable of regularly lifting, moving, and stacking crates onto pallets at the production line's end, subject to passing a full pre-employment medical examination.
- Possession of a valid forklift licence is mandatory.
- Experience working as a Warehouse Operator is preferred.
- Competency in computer usage including Microsoft Office and computer-based maintenance systems.
