Job Overview

This role requires a dedicated Cook to oversee and perform various kitchen operations at our Edmonton, Alberta location. Candidates must meet the education and language criteria and be prepared to work on-site in a physically demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure food ingredients and kitchen supplies necessary for daily operations.
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes according to order specifications.
• Cater to customers with specific dietary restrictions, including food allergies and intolerances.
• Conduct thorough inspections of kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance.
• Provide training to kitchen personnel regarding food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe handling.
• Place orders for kitchen supplies and equipment to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure smooth kitchen workflow.
• Maintain accurate inventory and records concerning food items, supplies, and kitchen equipment.
• Clean kitchen areas and workstations regularly to uphold hygiene standards.
• Manage overall kitchen operations to meet quality and efficiency standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proficiency in English communication.
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent work experience.
• Experience ranging from 1 to under 2 years in a related cooking or kitchen role.
