Cook / Chef

Role Overview

The cook/chef will be responsible for preparing daily meals following established menu and recipe standards, ensuring quality and consistency across Indian, Chinese, vegetarian, and non-vegetarian dishes. The role includes planning preparation tasks such as cutting, marination, and sauces, managing the kitchen during peak periods, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of dishes according to the menu and recipe guidelines
• Ensure consistent flavor, portion sizes, and overall food quality daily
• Organize preparation activities including cutting, marinating, and sauce preparation
• Handle cooking operations efficiently during busy hours
• Keep the kitchen, utensils, and equipment clean and comply with food safety standards
• Monitor inventory levels and notify management about raw material needs
• Control food wastage to manage cost effectively
• Properly store ingredients and cooked food to maintain freshness
• Collaborate with kitchen helpers and staff to ensure smooth operations
• Follow instructions from management and adhere to customer requests
• Ensure timely preparation and serving of all orders

Candidate Requirements

• Preferably 1 to 2 years experience in a similar cooking role
• Good understanding of kitchen procedures and operations
• Ability to independently prepare diverse dishes
• Knowledge of hygiene practices and safe food handling
• Disciplined, punctual, and responsible attitude
• Capability to perform well under pressure
• Commitment to maintaining consistent food quality daily

• Job type: Full-time
• Salary: Depends on experience and skill level, ranging approximately from ₹18,000 to ₹36,000 per month
• Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India
