Glencore's Ulan Coal Mines complex in New South Wales is a high-output underground longwall mining operation known for utilizing cutting-edge technology and emphasizing top-tier safety standards. The complex includes Ulan Underground Mine, Ulan West Underground Mine, and Ulan Surface Operations. This position is located onsite at Ulan West.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Contracts Officer to join the Commercial Team reporting to the Contracts Superintendent. The role involves managing contracts processes within a fast-paced environment requiring strong organization, problem-solving, and meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft contract documents that comply with Ulan Complex standards and policies.
• Advise management and Principal’s Representatives on correct protocols and procedures related to contract initiation and execution.
• Ensure all contract activities follow authorized company policies and procedures.
• Support or lead the preparation of tender documentation.
• Provide ongoing training and support to mine contract holders.
• Proactively track and renew contracts before expiry or commencement of works.
• Maintain an accurate and accessible system for storing all contract-related documentation.
• Continuously monitor contract management processes to identify and implement improvements.

Candidate Profile

• Exceptional communication skills with strong written proficiency and high attention to detail.
• Adaptable and commercially minded with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Effective stakeholder engagement to ensure contracts are accurate and fit for purpose.
• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and SAP.
• Qualifications in Contracts Management preferred; prior experience in mining or heavy machinery sectors is advantageous.
