Job description
Job Overview
Lead the management of contracts related to Offshore Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI), Front End Engineering Design (FEED), and Long Lead Items (LLI) for offshore projects. Involve yourself in all phases from strategy workshops and contract selection to tender evaluation and contract award, followed by ongoing contract administration activities until project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic advice to the Project Management Team regarding contract processes, change order handling, claims management, and project close-out procedures.
- Oversee contract administration duties for a large-scale, multi-billion dollar offshore project.
- Manage post-award activities including formal correspondence, change orders, claims, and administration of insurance and guarantees.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in disciplines such as Business, Accounting, Quantity Surveying, Commercial, Marketing, Sciences, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Law, Communication, Technologies, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- At least 8 years of hands-on contract management experience with EPC contracts, including a minimum of 4 years within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Minimum 1 year in supervisory or oversight roles managing contractors, subcontractors, vendors, or service personnel.
- Proven background in contract formulation systems and processes across diverse contract types.
- Experience working with Oil & Gas companies, EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, or service providers engaged in the industry.
- Comprehensive understanding of project-related business functions such as planning, scheduling, cost control, estimating, claims management, risk and change management, procurement, contract management before and after award, reporting, and lessons learned.
- Familiarity with international standards, methodologies, and best practices relevant to business disciplines.
- Subject matter expertise in their specific business area, along with strong knowledge of applicable business procedures.
- Experience in risk assessment to inform decision-making processes.
- Proficient with software tools including dashboards, data analytics applications, and SAP systems.
- Experience supporting major integrated operational and execution organizations like Operations, Projects, and Subsurface teams.
