Job Overview
The Contracts Analyst 1 plays a key role in supporting the preparation, negotiation, and management of client contracts while adhering to IQVIA’s policies and customer expectations. This position contributes to the accurate and prompt completion of contracts, scopes of work, and related budgets, all while gaining expertise in contract management within the clinical research organization (CRO) sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and maintaining client agreements in compliance with IQVIA’s standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams such as Project Management, Finance, Legal, and Commercial to establish suitable contractual terms and conditions.
- Support negotiation, development, and adjustments of contracts, scopes, and budgets under guidance from senior personnel.
- Ensure scopes are clearly defined and budgets precisely correspond with agreed-upon services.
- Manage contract amendments and change orders, integrating modifications seamlessly into primary study contracts.
- Serve as the main point of contact for contractual matters on small to medium projects and aid senior colleagues with larger projects.
- Oversee assigned contract processes to guarantee timely contract execution and completion.
- Keep accurate and comprehensive contract records within IQVIA systems and tracking tools.
- Identify and report potential issues or risks connected to contract scope, schedules, or budgets.
- Engage in departmental trainings, initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Management, or a closely related discipline.
- At least one year of relevant experience in contracts, contract administration, budgeting, project coordination, or similar functions.
- Familiarity with CRO, pharmaceutical, clinical research, or laboratory settings is preferred.
- Strong organizational abilities with capability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and clients.
- Basic skills in negotiation and managing stakeholders, with eagerness to grow in these areas.
- Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Additional Information
This position is currently structured as a hybrid role requiring presence in the office several times monthly; however, a fully remote setup may be negotiated.
