Job Description

BESIX Watpac is seeking Contracts Administrators to join the South Australia team based in Adelaide, contributing to major large-scale projects.

Key Duties

  • Actively promote and uphold company safety policies and practices, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety legislation to maintain a secure work environment at all times.
  • Manage tendering processes for subcontract packages, including assembling and approving tender documents, preparing tender lists, issuing documents, receiving tenders, evaluating bids, and submitting tender recommendations for approval.
  • Draft contract documents pertaining to each trade package or subcontract.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to oversee administration of subcontract packages, including handling progress and variation claims plus other project-related financial matters.
  • Contribute to monthly consolidated reports covering cash flow forecasts, variation statuses, contractual issues, and cost analyses.
  • Develop and maintain an efficient site or office system to support effective project administration aligned with company procedures and standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or equivalent experience in a related discipline.
  • Proven track record in a comparable role within the building construction sector.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and build effective relationships across all organizational levels, thriving in team environments.
  • Ability to operate independently by applying initiative, sound judgement, active listening, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Capacity to manage changing workload priorities to meet deadlines and deliver results effectively.
