Contract Specialist

About the Role

Our client, a regulated payment services provider located in the UAE, is seeking a Contract Manager responsible for overseeing commercial, vendor, and partnership agreements. This role is positioned within the Legal department and requires ensuring that all contracts executed by the company are legally sound, compliant with regulations, and effectively managed throughout negotiation to renewal.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, assess, and negotiate contracts, agreements, addendums, and SLAs involving clients, vendors, and partners.
• Guarantee that all contractual documents comply with legal, regulatory, and company policies.
• Collaborate across legal, finance, operations, compliance, and business units to finalize contract terms.
• Develop and maintain a centralized contract repository, ensuring thorough documentation and version control.
• Monitor contract milestones, renewal dates, expirations, and manage compliance obligations continuously.
• Proactively identify risks within contracts and suggest effective mitigation measures.
• Provide guidance to internal teams on contractual issues and assist in internal audit processes.
• Engage with regulatory authorities regarding compliance and filing requirements.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses 5 to 8 years of experience in contract management, legal, procurement, or commercial positions.
• Solid understanding of contract law and commercial agreements, particularly in payment services or fintech regulation.
• Knowledgeable about service level agreements (SLAs), vendor contracts, and client agreements typical to the payment industry.
• Familiar with compliance frameworks, procurement standards, and risk management practices.
• Highly skilled in contract drafting and negotiation, with strong organizational abilities for managing multiple contracts and deadlines simultaneously.
• Experienced in using contract management software systems.
