Job description
About AA New Zealand
With a rich history spanning more than 120 years, the AA stands as one of New Zealand's most trusted and respected brands. From its origins as a club for motoring enthusiasts, the NZ AA has expanded into a dynamic organization offering a wide range of services and products to over a million members nationwide. Currently undergoing a transformative phase, the organization is evolving to become more connected, modern, and purpose-oriented, investing heavily in its workforce, platforms, and ways of working to meet and exceed the evolving needs of its customers and members.
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Contract Manager to join our team, responsible for fostering and managing robust commercial partnerships essential to delivering outstanding Mobility products and services. You will oversee the full contract lifecycle, partnering closely with internal teams and external third-party providers to guarantee efficient service delivery, adherence to customer expectations, and alignment with financial and operational targets. Your duties will include active performance monitoring, risk management, supporting contract negotiations, and driving ongoing enhancements in contract management processes. Serving as a trusted liaison for our partners, this role blends relationship management, commercial acumen, and analytical problem-solving to maintain compliance, sustainability, and alignment with our organizational values and customer priorities.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is commercially savvy and relationship-oriented, demonstrating substantial experience in contract or account management and a strong understanding of relevant industry standards and partner networks. Effective communication skills, the ability to build trust, influence key stakeholders, and navigate sensitive or complex discussions with professionalism and sound judgement—including conflict resolution—are essential. Your analytical approach will allow you to interpret data, assess risks, and make decisions that carefully balance customer satisfaction with commercial goals. Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools will support your reporting and contract supervision responsibilities. Tertiary qualifications in a pertinent discipline or commensurate experience are required. A collaborative mindset and a proactive, solutions-driven attitude will help you excel in continuous improvement initiatives regarding partner performance and relationships.
