Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Continental Chef specialized in Neapolitan pizza to join our kitchen at Thamel Restaurant, located at Arjun Marg, DLF Phase 1, Gurgaon. The role involves preparing authentic Neapolitan pizza and various continental dishes while adhering to high standards of quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare Neapolitan pizza by making dough, managing its fermentation, stretching bases by hand, and baking in the pizza oven.
• Ensure consistent quality in dough, toppings, baking, and presentation for every pizza served.
• Set up mise en place daily and prepare the cooking station before service hours.
• Cook other continental foods including pastas, sauces, and salads according to established recipes.
• Follow standardized kitchen procedures related to preparation, storage, safety, and hygiene.
• Monitor and record food wastage to minimize losses.
• Contribute creative ideas for new recipes and special menu items.
• Adhere to FIFO inventory methods, proper labelling, and comply with FSSAI hygiene norms.
• Maintain cleanliness of the cooking section, oven, and kitchen equipment.

Candidate Requirements

• Between one and three years of experience in continental cuisine.
• Hands-on knowledge of Neapolitan pizza making including dough preparation, stretching, and oven usage.
• Understanding of classic mother sauces and pasta cooking techniques.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently with discipline.
• Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and holidays.

Additional Details

Applicants must be ready for immediate joining and comply with all kitchen SOPs related to hygiene and safety. The position offers a monthly salary ranging from 16,000 to 27,000 INR.
