Position Overview
We are seeking a gifted Content Creator to establish and become the primary on-camera personality for Tana's channels targeting early-career professionals in Kenya. This role involves launching a brand-new presence from the ground up, supported by strong organizational backing. The creator will manage all aspects of content creation including concept development, scripting, filming, editing, and publishing. Starting with short-form videos, the content will expand to include longer formats and live sessions in collaboration with leadership to showcase insider hiring insights and success stories that inspire career growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the consistent on-camera representative, crafting engaging, genuine content that resonates with Kenyan youth.
- Oversee all stages of production— from ideation and scripting to filming, editing, and publishing— maintaining a steady output of polished content.
- Establish the content workflow including scheduling, guidelines, equipment, and distribution channels.
- Arrange and facilitate appearances of team members and Tana alumni sharing authentic career journeys.
- Adapt content strategies over time by expanding into long-form, live streams, and community engagement, utilizing analytical data to focus on successful formats.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven video content portfolio demonstrating both charismatic on-camera presence and strong independent production skills gained over roughly 2 to 5 years.
- Authenticity and confidence in front of the camera with the ability to captivate audiences quickly through storytelling.
- Proficient in end-to-end video production including planning, shooting, and editing to produce professional-grade videos independently.
- Deep familiarity with platform-specific content trends and formats on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, comfortable incorporating AI tools, and capable of maintaining a consistent publication schedule weekly.
- Must be a Kenyan citizen residing in Kenya.
Work Location & Schedule
This role is hybrid based in Nairobi, requiring presence in the office at least three days weekly (Tuesday to Thursday).
