About The Company and Role
Transam, a branch of The Wonderful Company, specializes in seamless supply chain solutions by integrating sea and airfreight with trucking, customs brokerage, warehousing, and container depot services across New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, and other global locations. Their Auckland Panmure depot seeks an afternoon shift Container Hoist Driver to operate single or double stacker hoists for loading, unloading, and stacking 20’ and 40’ containers up to seven high.
Key Responsibilities
As a Container Hoist Driver, your tasks include safely maneuvering container hoists to load and unload containers from trucks and stack them in the depot yard, following all company safety protocols and operational procedures.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
Applicants need a Full New Zealand Class 1 Driver License, while Class 2 and/or Class 4 licenses are preferred. Prior Container Hoist operation experience is advantageous but not mandatory as training will be provided for the right candidate. Candidates should demonstrate strong health and safety awareness, be detail-oriented, capable of teamwork, and possess a strong work ethic with reliable attendance. Candidates must also pass Ministry of Justice background checks, ACC clearance, and drug and alcohol screening as part of recruitment.
Working Conditions and Schedule
This full-time position requires working a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during afternoon to night shifts between 3:30 pm and midnight, with potential overtime compensated at time and a half according to operational demands.
