University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust proudly announces an exceptional opportunity for a Consultant Neurologist to join our vibrant regional neurology team based at the Wessex Neurological Centre in Southampton. This permanent position focuses exclusively on work at Southampton General Hospital. We are open to applicants with any subspecialty interests, though there is an emphasized need for expertise in Epilepsy and Movement Disorders.
Working Environment
As one of England's largest acute teaching trusts, we foster growth through comprehensive professional development and career advancement opportunities. Rated 'Good' by the Care Quality Commission, UHS also ranks highly in national NHS Staff Surveys for employee engagement and workplace recommendation. Our flexible work policies consider service needs, and staff benefit from NHS discounts, a minimum of 35 days paid leave pro rata, and a robust pension scheme.
Southampton offers a high quality of life with its coastal location, international airport, direct London train links, proximity to New Forest National Park, and Jurassic Coast beaches. The cost of living here is significantly lower than London, complemented by numerous outstanding schools.
