Job Overview

Serendia is looking to recruit a skilled Estimator to join their Canberra team. Applicants need to be currently residing in Australia. This position involves hands-on collaboration with project teams and access to senior management to shape tender strategies and finalize pricing for commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine drawings, specifications, and addenda carefully to spot any scope gaps or potential pricing risks.
• Conduct quantity take-offs, prepare trade packages, and develop detailed cost estimates.
• Solicit, evaluate, and compare quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Compile preliminaries while ensuring clear documentation of assumptions, inclusions, and exclusions.
• Assist in tender reviews and transition successful bids to the delivery teams.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will bring experience in estimating for commercial construction, fitouts, or refurbishment projects, along with strong construction knowledge and Excel proficiency. The role demands effective communication skills for following up on quotations and justifying pricing decisions. Familiarity with Procore, EstimateOne, and exposure to government or Defence contracts will be regarded as an advantage.
