Role Overview
This full-time remote position involves designing, developing, and refining computer vision algorithms and models applicable to real-world scenarios such as object detection, tracking, and pattern recognition. Daily tasks include experimenting with different architectures, training and validating models, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to incorporate solutions into production. Responsibilities also encompass data preprocessing, supervising annotation processes, evaluating model performance, and iterating on deployed systems to enhance effectiveness. Documentation, code reviews, and staying updated with the latest computer vision advancements are important aspects of the role.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Strong expertise in Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, with practical experience in developing and deploying vision-based applications.
- Solid grounding in Computer Science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and best practices in software engineering.
- Knowledge of Data Science principles such as data preprocessing, model evaluation, and handling large-scale datasets.
- Familiarity with Robotics or similar fields where computer vision supports perception and control.
- Proficient in programming languages typically used in AI and vision projects, like Python and C++, and experience with key libraries and frameworks such as OpenCV, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
- Possession of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a comparable technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with cloud development platforms, version control tools like Git, and collaborating effectively in remote teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills enabling successful teamwork in diverse, distributed environments.
